    Sitemap

I've noticed that some sites and forums(such as WBB) will have a sitemap. Do you ever use a sitemap if it's available?

I never have, and most likely never will. Most forums are pretty easy to navigate.

I don't, and I pretty much agree with you. Forums are different from regular websites in many ways. Mine is quite user friendly, so I haven't turned on my sitemap. Every available page is listed on the index.

Some forums are very huge like digital point, warrior forms and i think that is necessary for that.

Site-map can be called an overview or short-picture of the website. Site-map is the list of URLs that a user want to crawl on the particular website or it is an index that specifies the different web pages of the same website and allow the user to make fast crawling. It becomes easy for Google to crawl or index website with the help of site-map as it shows what the whole is all about.

Make sure that sitemap.xml page is present on your website because search engines detect all the links on your webpage only through this page when submitted this file to Google webmasters. Sitemap.html for user purpose and sitemap.xml for search engines purpose.

I dont think there is an any need of adding sitemap in forums, Forums are crawling on real time so according to me there is no need of adding sitemap in forum.

I don't have sitemap on my site since I only have few sub-pages on it so there's no need for me to do it.

It's very helpful, useful one in the SEO. Actually i hosted my things on blog hosting services like blogger, wordpress. So, i do use xml rss feeds as sitemap (to submit them in the google webmaster tools, bing webmaster tools). By submitting them, it will be a best way for us to give an insight about our website to the search crawlers to find our website and its pages easily.
