    Creating a Forum

Do you feel in this day and time it is extra difficult to create a forum and be successful with all the other forums already established for years and online?

I don't feel this way. If you have passion and determination to run your community, there is no reason why it will never succeed. Sure, it may take years for it to come to it's fullest potential and it probably won't ever get as big as the already established forums, but nobody can take away your drive to succeed. If you respect your members, you listen to them and you yourself earn respect, you will have a great community.

If you can be unique and attract members then know, problem is the majority are done by clueless kids who copy successful ones. For every decent one we get, there will be 50 crap ones.

Yep it is quite hard, if you we come up with new ideas we can succeed . but we need some supporters to achieve that.

Unity is strength , without that we cant do anything.

It certainly can be quite a mission but it's so rewarding once you see all the new members coming in and participating

It's quite hard at first, but once you get a few dedicated members then the community will grow naturally.

I completely agree with Akira, to popularize a forum you need some dedicated members who will continuously contribute.

Physically making a forum is not hard. Even cPanel's Fantastico can make one in 30 seconds for you. Set up is the easiest part - The hardest part is making it a successful one with visitors and traffic. You need to have a flow of traffic with constant re-visitors which will help the success part.

Create forum never been easy, the owner is spending much time and work on the forum before the forum grow. No need to compare to other forum, as long as the owner really work on the forum, spend time on helping member and giving out information content, it will still grow. Remember that when google just launching their company, yahoo is already one of the biggest site

Well, there IS competition with others but that doesn't have to do anything with you being unable to discuss stuff. If you can add unique stuff, then you'll be good
