Clients do not want downtimes for hours... Minutes? not even... seconds? sure... barely.
The cheaper you pay the less attention they will pay to your needs. Trust me. Most cheap hosting are resellers. My company is under Servebyte Inc. My server is with them and it's being closely eyed on by me and other 3 staffs. Downtime is bad. But if it has done nothing but success, Great !
@ Topic Starter, 1$ hosting is not the way to go, at all. Try 4$ or a little above and you will see a big difference.

Thanks for sharing the information.
I personally have to disagree with you and everyone else on here stating that one dollar hosting can't be reliable! I own UZRHosting.com a hosting company that offers hosting for as little as $0.99 a month. We offer our clients hosting services as good as most other hosting providers... If not better! Just because you offer hosting at a cost effective price does not mean that you won't receive top quality services.
Also, the differences between our shared hosting plans is just the servers disk space and bandwidth. We offer smaller amounts for a smaller price. Some blogs and other small startup sites dont need anything big. This is why we try and offer them something that will fit them perfectly not a bunch of stuff they don't need.
you cannot judge a book by its cover. there and many hosts who are cheap yet good. trying with 1 dollar is not going to make any loss i think so

hostmonster is cheap and reliablle too
IMHO, some cheap hosting companies are good, however it truely depends who it is. I would recommend searching for reviews on the company before going with them, even if their prices are amazingly low.
This really depends on the hosting company and how much all their employees like to do hosting.
If they like hosting, and offer it cheap, then it's likely going to be a good service as they likely are not in it simply for the money.

Generally speaking though, it's important to remember that you get what you pay for. If you pay 50 cents a month for web hosting, you can't really expect the latest version of cPanel with all the applications you would consider 'standard' such as Softaculous, RV, etc.
