Greetings WBB Members,
I've been having a problem, I've been hiring foreign people to do such a light job such as answering tickets, emails and working behind the WHM Panel to control the accounts and to search for any possible issues my customers are having... I ask them for a resume and to answer simple questions , Alright most of my staff has answered all of them correctly, probably google'd answers because they can't do the job they described they qualify to do. I fired 2 of my previous employed staff because they kept continously asking me how to do things when they're supposed to know these things.
" How do I change a cpanel account password through the control panel? "
"Hey Josh, there's this guy here asking through the ticket system if he can host illegal contents?"
It's quite obvious, I've told them to learn our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy and they come to me with the dumbest question. I know, they're stupid. I probably was drunk on my personal time when I hired them or something.
Should I continue to hire foreign employees? Or should I hire local colleagues ?
Local colleagues would be better. There is a comment I could make, but it'd not be appropriate. It's just better to stick with those from the US, at least most of them will actually answer the questions by typing and not copy/paste.

You should check their skills not check their qualifications .Skill does matter every where in today's competitive life.
My bad, by foreign I thought you meant something else. There are some people out there who would prove to be quite skilled, it just takes time to find them. Maybe you should modify your hiring process and application to ask more in-depth questions, ones maybe not found on Google.

Well, you do get some rather dedicated foreign people, usually more dedicated than UK people (Idk where you live). After a bit of training, you'll be fine.
Thread moved to Staff & Members...more appropriate classification.
I don't think it matters where they are or where they're from, it just matters whether they're experienced or not.
So really, it all depends on how well you assess their skills before hiring them.
