Do you allow members who just advertise their site on your forum?
Lucien
No. I actually have a new user who basically just came to advertise their site. I banned them accordingly. If you're going to post nonsense posts just so people see your site link in your signature and you don't actually contribute anything to the community, you will be banned and not allowed back.![]()
Nope. If someone joins just to advertise, I'll remove their thread. I won't ban them, as that'd be a bit too rude.
Have a problem, or just a general question about WBB? Post in Support, or email me @ seenoevil4@yahoo.com
Definitely no-no. My site is not intended to be for advertising in any way - therefore, I automatically ban anyone who joins and posts external links to advertise.
Depends, if they're HQ and post well, then possibly. If they just sign up to spam, then no.
As for FH being a promotion forum it doesn't worry me. Running a promotion forum there are those who do this. And since it's a forum about promoting they just promote their forums. I guess if they posted around a bit they would get more of a chance of someone checking out their ad but oh well.
I did when I owned a promotion forum. Because at the end of the day, a promotion forum is mainly for advertising. I do like people to post to help me out when advertising though.

It's the point of my forum
I usually am able to get members to do more than just advertise, but I honestly have no problem with it![]()
