Can somebody suggest a free control panel that can be used for managing multiple websites?

If you are talking about linux you can try webmin or kloxo both are free.

You can try Windows Web Matrix Software for managing multiple websites.

Free control panel? Wen you get web hosting service, you get control panel also?

From what been posted he is looking to install how own CP on VPS or Dedicated Server. Some host will offer up a CP as part of the deal, but you can purchase some barebones VPS without an OS and CP.

Use Kloxo panel its free of cost

DNP for Windows and Webmin for Linux are the options available.

I've started using Virtualmin recently which is a very good control panel. It allows you to manage your websites effectively, and also control all the aspects of your server via Webmin which it pre-installs for you.

DNP and Webmin are the two most recommended control panels for Windows and Linux respectively.

For Linux you can use Webmin or more advanced Kloxo.
