Yes, absolutely!

Usually what happens is that I see someone posting something interesting and then I will check out their signature and if I get interested by their website (if they have one), I will go and register and participate there also if it goes along with my interests.

If I see that the forum can be beneficial to me or benefits me, I will join it and try to keep checking up on it.

I will join forums where the content is actually unique. For example, I found some forums that have a lot of cutting edge Photoshop tutorials because I know in the future they will have more tutorials you can't find anywhere else.

Yeah I join them I mean they are also forums and every forum has the right to promote and has to promote to get members. Anyhow I love promotion forums they are always having members who share some awesome sites that I join
