My wife has an eCommerce site and she uses ZenCart. We tried all of the others ones even tomato cart and Zen was the most user friendly and a lot of video tuts to help you out.

Does ZenCart allow the option of adding a downloadable product? I sell eBook's and website templates, so I'd need that option.

I don't have any experience with these. WHMCS deals with billing though, and shopping, and I would use that.

I am a web designer and I know a lot of these carts have templates that I could care less for. If I wanted to make a custom looking web site for eCommerce what cart software would you guys recommend. What is the easiest one I can incorporate my own CSS and HTML with the cart?

I would also like to add to this discussion by recommending that you use a shopping cart which will export your products to google base (google shopping) - because that's a very powerful and amazing way to get your products viewed by active shoppers.

One of my friend recently launched an ecommerce website (online shop) and he used Zencart, and it is working great! having lots of features.
