Thread: How often do you backup your site?

My first two ever website's were hacked, and they did not have backups. It was the worst thing I did, not taking a backup. From ever since, I take backups depending on how big and how often the sites changes. The current site I have at the moment I take a backup every day.

I usually only make a week FULL cPanel backup because my host is very very good with backups but I do a backup to my USB just in case something happens. I generally do site backups every so often but again host can bring back data if stuff gets lost.

With my blog I have all articles and images saved on my external harddrive.

Every week I have an auto automatic back up which is pretty useful.

for big players frequent backup is a must

Some places create local backups hourly. But ideally, you should have backups in many places.
