    Choosing passwords

One of the biggest reasons Admins lose access to their forum is because they choose a password that can be easily guessed.

For example: Lets say Searchable made her password something that pertained to his real life, maybe his last name, birth date, etc. That is the biggest no no when choosing passwords. Password crackers will go for the personal passwords first, and if they know a lot about you, they probably could guess your password. A lot of people mainly the kids and older generation are oblivious to this stuff, and often use weak passwords not even realizing the threat.

When choosing passwords, it's best to use something complex, something that doesn't necessarily pertain to your personal life. I have multiple passwords I use for different sites, and I have them all written down on a sticky note inside my desk drawer in case I ever forget. Using random passwords is something I advise, though no password is truly random. What I'd advise doing, is either using a random password generator, which can be found here, or just open up Notepad and mash some keys on your keyboard until you have a good length, weird password.

Hint: To best protect yourself, it's wise to use a mix of letters and numbers. Mix case is also a good deterrent, but can be a problem as some people tend to forget about capital letters in passwords.

Who said random generators are truly random? In fact, the person behind the site could know each and every password, as he imputed them. Nothing is ever truly random.

I always suggest find a single sentence like
    i love tennis
    and make it like
    i l0v3 t3nn1s
WITH SPACES. it is a strong password

I really hope you're kidding. That isn't strong at all. Lets say I knew you personally, and I knew you loved tennis. I want to gain access to your account, so I'm going to begin guessing, based off knowledge I know about you, at what your password may consist of or be. It's just that easy.

Actually, let's assume that this type of tool is not generating the password random or is actually storing each generation. So what? How would this allow them to gain access to the application / system where I'm using that specific password?
