Drupal is an amazing piece of software that allows you to pretty much do anything you want with the design of the site.

Of course, yes. In fact, Drupal is a platform which was specifically developed for Web developers. It has a very sophisticated programming interface which is completely different than Wordpress and Joomla. This feature of Drupal makes it a specific platform of web developers. Drupal was built on PHP and MySQL so it is quite obvious that any non technical person would not be able to use it. It is right that almost all the functionalities of Drupal as a CMS are same as Wordpress and Joomla but its programming interface was developed by keeping web developers in mind. So according to this being a Drupal developer is best.

You can make your standalone expertise than other web developers if you know Drupal programming.

    Yes,it is good

    The Advantages of Drupal
It is easy to use & update
You can update your own site when you want - where you want - without fuss. No need to get your web designer to do it for you. Using a properly configured WYSIWYG editor like TinyMCE, you can even paste content from Word and have it take out all those tag peculiar to MS Word.
    Value for money
Drupal is open source software, so you don't need to pay any licensing fees or development costs.
    Reliable & Secure
Drupal has an extensive and active community supporting it. It is constantly being improved and is subject to extensive testing so you can count on it to be rock solid.
    Search-Engine Friendly
It can be configured for friendly URLs. Content output is designed to be standards compliant which will not not help boost your search engine rankings but be accessible as well.
    Modular and Extendible
You can add extra features like blogs, forums, e-commerce and calendars if you wish. There are multitudes of third party modules to choose from to extend Drupal.

A 3.x version of Features is planned for Drupal 8 to integrate with the new configuration management system. If you simply need to export simple site configuration, the D8 configuration management system should be used instead of Features. You will use Features in D8 to export bundled functionality (like a "photo gallery feature").

Wordpress is to easy and Joomla is too heavy. Drupal is just the best and right option. We started off from Joomla and we noticed it being heavy quite early. Then we used Drupal, which we still use it to this date. Next thing was to try our Wordpress, where we found it to be too easy. So easy that it is not meant for developers.
