    First thing you do

What is the first thing you do when you startup your new computer? When I was new to all this stuff the first thing I did was install loads of useless software onto it, now I know better. The first thing I do when I startup my new computer is test my CPU etc to make sure everything is working so that if anything breaks during the tests they're still under warranty.

The first thing I'd do in install everything I need, which would be Windows Live Messenger, PhotoShop, browsers, and everything else I have on this computer. =P

The first thing I do is delete all the garbage that came pre-packaged with it.

What? Microsoft Security Essentials let me down one time and that was one time too many. I now use Malwarebytes and haven't had a problem since.

    1 - Delete any crap
2 - Goto Ninite - Install or Update Multiple Apps at Once and create an installer for all the software I want
3 - Go make a cup of tea

I have never had any issues with MSE in all the years I have used it where as Avast has let viruses through. AVG is a pain to set up and Avira has that stupid pop up ad when it updates.
