    CRT or LCD/LED?

Am I the only still using a CRT as my primary monitor? For some reason, I still prefer CRT for everyday use and I reserve my LED for gaming only. How about you guys?

    I am using LCD now.
LCD and LEDs are way better, but making the display too bright can damage your eyes

Use all LCD/LEDs as of now. So much cheaper.

Just to clarify. Your TV/Monitor is LCD not LED. LCD being Liquid Crystal Display and requiring a backlight. LED being Light Emitting Diode and is starting to be used as the backlight for LCD displays. The only time you will get an LED display is if it is OLED or AMOLED but at present their is size restrictions in this technology restricting it to devices like mobile phones and some tablets.

I've not had an CRT in years and the space you save comes in really useful.

They (the manufacturer's) do market it as LED, but is backlight LED.

Yes I know and it's a cheap marketing trick. The same as aerial installers that say they install digital aerials when any TV will handle digital signal. Not sure that's something people outside the UK know as not sure how many countries have switched their TV signals from analogue to digital yet but you get the gist. Or the best one being the way ISPs tell you you can get UPTO xxMegs when in reality you probably get half.

Just put up my last CRT - talk about heavy and it took up a ton of desk space.
